The Issues
As our new State Representative, Denise Villalobos is passionate about passing a new law to help protect little girls and boys from human traffickers. Once it’s passed, any criminal convicted of trafficking kids in Texas will never be eligible for parole. To Denise, it's a pretty simple equation. If you mess with our children, then we lock you up and throw away the key.
Denise Villalobos will never waiver in her support of our local police officers. The radical politicians and extreme groups from outside of Nueces County who are backing Denise's opponent believe in ideas like defunding police departments and allowing violent criminals to be released early from prison. That puts our families and community in danger, which is why the sheriff and local law enforcement are endorsing Denise in this election.
Denise Villalobos was and raised here in Nueces County. While she didn't grow up with much, it didn't stop her from getting and education, becoming a chemical engineer, and living her American Dream. She knows the importance of a quality education. That’s why she serves on the Tuloso-Midway school board, and why she's running for State Representative. At the capitol, she will fight for increased funding for our teachers and local schools, so today’s kids have the same opportunities she had to excel and find good paying jobs here at home.
Good paying jobs, a thriving energy industry, and support for agriculture are all things needed for a strong local economy. But we also have to permanently lower property taxes to address inflation and the high cost of living. A lot of our people in the Coastal Bend are struggling to stay in their homes because of their tax bills. That's just not right, and why Denise Villalobos will fight for permanent property tax relief as our new State Representative.
Denise Villalobos is a chemical engineer who will protect our local oil and gas jobs and stand firm against radicals who want to kill the energy industry. Texas needs to remain the leading energy producer in the country. For that to happen, we must grow more Nueces County energy jobs.
